FIRST IMPRESSIONS & CLIENT RETENTION

A good first impression goes hand in hand with client return. The first impression begins at the initial inquiry and lasts through the first appointment. Building a clientele is all about client retention so here’s a few ways to ensure a good first impression!

Before the Appointment

-Have a straight forward method of communication. Make it easy for potential clients to know how to reach out wether that’s through direct messaging, with a phone number, or a booking site. Your first impression begins before communication.

-Be clear when communicating policies, prices, and expectations. Clients appreciate information up front and it can prevent issues in the future.

-Practice timely responses and professionalism. If you are flakey in your communication clients will give up and move on.

During the Appointment

-Always be professional and service oriented. Your first impression has already started before the appointment, but the first meeting can set the tone.

-Give a detailed consultation to reassure your client, leave enough time for questions, and reiterate your pricing and policies to prevent any miscommunication.

-The first impression is about the lash artist, but also the environment. A clean and inviting environment is the first thing a client walks into and will help clients feel comfortable or not.

-We love consistent clients and it goes both ways. Be consistent with your timing, scheduling, pricing, and policies and your clients with be appreciative. If you are behind, have scheduling conflicts, or need to cancel always communicate and offer solutions.
