GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR TWEEZERS

We restock our inventory and replace our disposables, but our tools—our tools are investments that should work for us for a long time. Our tweezers specifically can have a long life of lashing if you follow these tips for getting the most out of your tweezers!

CLEAN, DRY, STORE

Always follow the directions for your disinfecting products and don’t leave your tweezers soaking or steaming longer than recommended. If you want to extend the life of your tweezer’s abilities and their finish then clean, dry, and store properly every time!

USE ONLY AS INTENDED

Tweezers can feel like an extension of our hands and it can be easy to use them to pick up lash strips, unclog glue nozzles, or clean up adhesive. Using your tweezers beyond their intended purpose is going to wear them out or cause damage. I always keep my retired tweezers as “junk” tweezers for all the dirty jobs.

NO ADHESIVE

Have you ever tried to pick up a perfect fan and it falls apart before it’s off the strip? Or your tweezers feel like they’ve lost their grip? Even the smallest sticky spot can throw everything off. In the case that adhesive has gotten on the tweezer it’s important to have the tools to get your tweezers clean and working again. Lint free wipes, adhesive remover, and even your junk tweezers can help. Keep those tweezers clean!

HANDLE WITH CARE

The quickest way to end your tweezer’s career is to drop them. I’ve had tweezer tips bend on contact from dropping. You don’t want to cause damage to their sharpness, grip, or point. Handle your tweezers with care and set them down in a safe place when not being used.

REPLACE AS NEEDED

Our tweezers carry a lot of responsibility during every appointment, so always keep a spare set and replace as needed! But if you take care of your tweezers then your tweezers can live a long full life before needing to be replaced!
