SCHEDULING POLICIES EVERY LASH ARTIST NEEDS

We love policies— They protect us, they keep us professional, and they save us time and money. You can implement any policies to fit your business’ needs, but when it comes to scheduling there’s a few policies every lash artist needs. Scheduling policies prevent us from wasting time and money!

Late Policy

Having a late policy enforces good punctuality and holds the client responsible. Client’s should understand that every minute counts when it comes to eyelash extensions. A good late policy states that if a client is X amount of time past their appointment, the appointment may be rescheduled at the lash artists’ discretion. It is also important to note that If the client is late and the artist is able to accommodate with the remaining time, the full price will still be charged. As the lash artist, you can decide if you want to charge a fee or the full price if the appointment does need to be rescheduled. Always emphasize that communication is key when there is any schedule issue.

Cancellation Policy

Just like life, cancellations happen and we as lash artists can understand that. However, a last minute cancellation leaves us unpaid and with open spots in our schedule that could have been filled. A good standard is 24 hour notice, but this can be adapted to your business. If a cancellation does happen within the notice timeline, a fee should be charged. Optionally, the fee could be waived in the instance that the appointment slot is filled. Cancellation policies can be personalized to what works for your business, but however your approach cancellations, a policy is good protection.

No Show Policy

You need a no show policy because no show appointments with no communication leave the lash artist high and dry. By no means, do we want to give the impression that no shows are acceptable. A no show policy should charge the client 100% of the service, not applicable to future appointments, non-refundable, and with the stipulation that no future appointments can be booked without paying the fee.
